Ginger has 15 years in the Real Estate business. A real estate broker in Greensboro NC, and also a licensed real estate agent in the Commonwealth of Virginia, she brings to the table a wealth of knowledge and experience. Ginger comes from an academic family who put down their roots on the East Coast at the end of the 17th century. Ginger grew up on college campuses with her father being dean at 3 east coast colleges. Ginger grew up in Greensboro, NC attended Grimsley High School, graduated from UNCG and spent many of her childhood years on Guilford College Campus, as her father was Dean there for over 30 years. At an early age Ginger forged community service values and deep appreciation for nature. She still finds time for camping, reading, decorating homes, organic gardening, antique shopping, horseback riding, and hiking. As a youth, she was also introduced to the rich “philosophy of living” adhered to by the college and greater community. Lessons of caring, responsibility, giving back to community, and service were instilled and embraced.
Prior to launching her real estate career, Ginger taught Honors History, Geography, and Honors Drama in the public school system at the secondary level. She received a Masters in Theatre Arts from Northern Illinois University after completing a B.F.A. in Acting & Theatre Arts at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She received her certification in Secondary Education in the Social Sciences at NC A&T State University and will soon receive her Masters of Arts in the History of Native Americans studies. Ginger has directed theatre professionally in Chicago Illinois, Greensboro NC, and Durham, NC. She directed a myriad of productions professionally including "A Streetcar Named Desire, Ordinary People, and You're a Good Man Charlie Brown. Ginger also opened and ran, as Artistic Director, her own theatre company for 3 years in Durham, NC where she obtained nonprofit 501 C3 status.
15 years ago, Ginger sought a major career change that would enable her to become a value to this area and provided her life with meaning. Real estate allows her to help others find their homes, investments and sacred spaces, as well as reaching out to help meet community needs. Deeply involved in animal rescue organizations, she has deep love, respect and passion for our furry companions. Ginger gives a percentage of all earned commissions resulting from advertising to local animal rescue groups.
Eighteen years ago, she completed her family by adopting her son Jeremiah Cristian Alexander Godard from Guatemala at 4 months of age. They enjoy life in Greensboro NC with their Standard Poodles – Maybelle Rose and June Carter.
